Having a Child w/Special Needs

Service Description

In this session, you will discuss the feelings you experienced when you first learn you had a child with exceptional needs/disabilities. You will learn to accept the stages of grief, which are normal. You will share worries you might be facing; Will my child be able to make friends during the school years? Will we be able to travel and do what typical parents do? How will I plan for the future when I am gone? Where should I go for additional resources? You will be invited to share your struggles and triumphs with other parents who understand what you are going through.
