Khatija holds a Master’s degree in Counseling and Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling. With more than 20 years of experience counseling children and adults as well working in child welfare as a social worker, she has spent 11 years as a school counselor providing direct social emotional counseling to elementary school children and their parents as well as working with educational issues and special needs. She has also served as a social worker in the foster care system advocating for children and working with their caretakers to seek resources and work with the children in their care. Khatija also works as a private coach and counselor with many mothers as they navigate their challenges of parenting, often on their own.

Khatija is a single mother of two girls.
